Sandhaven Outback – The Beginning

It all starts with a dream, and Sandhaven Outback is no exception.

Stalls and Turnouts for Sandhaven Sporthorses had been completed. Arenas for clinics, sporting events, and activities were well on their way.

But Sandhaven is so much more……….. and we wanted to share!

Sandhaven consists of a full time Equestrian Center (105 acres), and includes a full breeding program, foaling stalls, training program, on-site vet clinic,  arenas, and acres of turnout.

120 Acres have been reserved as a wildlife management program, due to the unique geological makeup and relatively untouched environment of the area. Available to Outback guests, bird and wildlife watching groups, and research/conservation groups.

One last, unmentioned area of the ranch, is perched up on a hill, overlooking all of Sandhaven and for as far as the eye can see. Up top sits a lonesome rustic barn, too inconvenient for its intended life of feed and grain storage, but perhaps perfect for Event Gatherings! Weddings, corporate events,….

In time!!

It is not unheard of for Sandhaven to have guests throughout the year.

Some are local coming for events, or in search of their new horse. Others come from across the globe for business, clinics, the wildlife,  to see Sandhaven, or just to get away at the “hidden jewel” in Texas.

Though the property was never intended to be a “destination”, the concept of sharing it with others who would appreciate it, enjoy the diversity, and/or just benefit from the “retreat” certainly resonated.

And so Sandhaven Outback was born!
